The Colony
At the Ant Firm, we practice our philosophy of ‘colony thinking’, a radical concept in the QA world that employs teamwork to get the job done, keeping our focus on clients and their projects, not on internal quotas nor individual agendas.
In an ant colony, every ant has a job to do. They are not driven by their little ant egos or personal agendas. Individual ants spread out in all directions, scouting terrain and gathering information that benefits the colony as a whole, returning to the group and communicating what each has found. An ant’s sole purpose is to single-mindedly focus on the task at hand for the good of the colony.
But in the QA world, many testers view video game testing as merely a stepping stone into game development: many are frustrated, aspiring programmers or graphic artists just waiting to be promoted to a dev team. They are thinking as individuals, not as a team. In short, their hearts aren’t in QA.
At The Ant Firm, QA is all we do. For us, QA is the destination.
