Congratulations 2010 Venture London Winners

The Ant Firm would like to extend our congratulations to Venture London winners ENT Simulation Technologies (Proposed Business Category) and Robert McCarter of Investor Briefcase Lifelines Financial (Existing Business Category).  It was an honour competing against such innovative and visionary entrepreneurs.  Congratulations as well to fellow finalists Gaming Union, London Documents, and Green Energy Dynamics Corp.

The Ants found the Venture experience to be an extremely worthwhile endeavor as it forced us to look critically at our business plan and to zero in on what needed tweaking.  The experience has helped us to identify the direction in which we plan to steer our business, as well as to recognize any potential roadblocks that we may encounter along the way.

The Ants would like to thank Nancy Kopriva, Chair of the Venture London steering committee, for her tireless organizational efforts and never-ending enthusiasm; all the 1st round judges who had to read through 38 business plans; and to final round judges Terry Off of Goodwill Industries, Tania Goodine of Libro Financial Group, and Cecil Shewchuk of Shewchuk Consulting, who sat politely through yet another PowerPoint presentation  Thanks, too, to each of the Venture sponsors who made it all possible, and to Joe O’Neill of PricewaterhouseCooper who thinks the ants are on to something.

And finally, a very special thank-you to our affable and saintly business advisor, Gord “you-have-to-understand-the-process” Evans of the London Small Business Centre: you’ve supported us from the very beginning and we love you for it.
